Paper is easily processable (folding, cutting, glueing), which makes it a suitable material for sketching. Yet, the folding, cutting and glueing of the paper has been done in such big sizes and quantity that the repetition of this routine results in a meditative tendency.
My work is of a systematic nature. For me this is a safe haven for sensitivity, where sensitivity will be able to rest and take shape. I am relaxed when I am concentrated. The letting go, the listening to what happening is inside you, I would like to convey to the viewer. On a physical level, by the repetition of a routine, which results in an image.

Material: wallpaper, acid-free glue, fixative with UV-filter. Size: 150 x 100 x 25 cm. Location: during 'Langsam und Leise', Künstlerforum Bonn, Germany. Image 8 has been made in my studio: one of the steps in the proces of making.
Absence of material defines its shape. What is actually there makes absence present.
Besides the removing of material, is it the creation of the space inbetween, the enclosure of air and light, makes the light able to paint.
